Unzan is a man new to Eorzea, long since having lost his home. He is a man of adventure who yearns to see new lands, wishing to learn more for himself and his children he plans to bring up here in Eorzea with him. He is still naive to much, so please exercise patience with him.[Notice of WoL vs RP canon]There are two versions of Unzan in 14, one that is the gameplay-oriented story, and one that is the story used during roleplay at venues and such.
Unzan in the WoL canon is currently in the Dawntrail Expansion. He is a begrudged scion, who is only helping the cause because he has nowhere else to turn, and is trying to defend the one home he has left. If you'd like more information, inquire with me directly!
Unzan in the RP canon has gone through the bulk of ARR main story. Sometime during the events of the patch quests, he broke from the scions and has retired from the bulk of his adventuring. He still possesses the Echo, and gained his Aetheric scales from his ties to Hydaelyn. His story has unique angles on how he was welcomed to story areas, how he knows of the existence of certain characters, or if he knows them at all. It is a frequent sight to find Unzan Doshin wandering Gridania, taking in the sights of the Shroud, perusing the markets, and speaking with Miounne at the Carline Canopy, a toddler in tow and an infant strapped to his back. He's friendly, approachable, and usually carrying a bushel of greens he recently gathered from the Shroud. Maybe you can ask him where he picked those flowers?- The Barista
With a new venue in construction, Unzan is doing his best to keep himself sharp on his skills while he's out of action. He offers his services to family, friends, any who crave to explore something new. He frequents local markets with freshly baked pastries and pots of delicious, select-roasted coffee and perfectly steeped tea. A weary father needs time to... Unwind. Should you crave to see a side of Unzan not shown to most, find your way to the Mist to visit Rainbow Rose Cabaret. A delightful bar with wondrous staff in its own right, you can frequently catch sight of a glittering Au Ra in a form-fitted dress losing himself to the music for your viewing pleasure. His hips flow to the rhythm and draw in the eye. For a price, you can put your hands on the art. He would definitely love to show you what those hips can do off the dancefloor.
